Levi L. Conant Prize This prize was established in 2000 in honor of Levi L. Conant to recognize the best expository paper published in either the Notices of the AMS or the Bulletin of the AMS in the preceding five years. Leroy P. Steele Prizes In 1993, the Council formalized the three categories of the prize by naming each of them: (1) The Leroy P. Steele Prize for Lifetime Achievement (2) The Leroy P. Steele Prize for Mathematical Exposition (3) The Leroy P. Steele Prize for Seminal Contribution to Research. JPBM Communications Award AMS Epsilon Awards for Young Scholars Programs In 1999 the American Mathematical Society started the Epsilon Fund to help support existing summer programs for mathematically talented high school students. The name for the fund was chosen in remembrance of the late Paul Erdõs, who was fond of calling children "epsilons." Own web site
